Trumpet mute ?Not that kind of mute !

Hello.Yes "mute" is making the trumpet silent.

Pardon? What is the problem or question here?
I guess you want https://musescore.org/en/handbook/mixer#mid-staff-change if so just use the 'mute' text from the text palette

I am not getting/hearing a muted trumpet.We used to.Mute is silencing the trumpet.

When using the 'mute' text it sounds (!) muted, only when using the mute button in mixer it goes silent. Nothing about this ever changed

No no no no no no no no .......no.No matter how I seek to produce that lovely old muted effect that we all know and love.All that is achieved is the instrument sound is killed STONE DEAD.....

Not for me here using that score from @Jm6stringer, the trumpet does sound (!) muted (!)

Then prove that problem. I don't hear it. Or rather I do hear the muted trumpet (well, it does sound different than the unmuted one at least).
Your score does not use a mute text, but @Jm6stringers does and works

So listen to my" Dood to be alive" on the Musescore website and tell me you can hear the muted trumpet at bar SIX.I cant.!!!!

I can't either, but why should it sound muted if you don't use that 'mute' text?

That score does sound properly muted in MuseScore, but indeed not on the musescore.com website -> go there to complain, here we can't help with that
