HELP!
My PC crashed with eight year's worth of music on it. The repair shop got it going well enough for me to transfer all my scores from the old PC to the new one and I downloaded and installed Musescore 3 onto the new PC.
I then worked on one of the transferred scores on the new PC and when I tried to save it I was horrified to get the message shown. This message appears if I try to save any of the transferred scores.
If I 'save as' to the desktop and then move that saved score into the MS3 scores folder, I still get the same message if i try to save it.
So I should be most grateful for any ideas as what's gone wrong here and how to fix it so that I can save my scores.
Thanks

Can you attach here a *.mscz file you are having problems with?

I suggest changing the OP title to "bad file description" to help track down the problem...
The big problem is that you're trying to save into the Program Files folder and by default Windows doesn't allow you to do so (nor should you want to).
Try saving to the default folder of Username/Documents/MuseScore3/Scores instead.

Thanks, yes, moving the scores folder out of the program files folder and into a separate one in 'documents' has solved the problem. I think I must have inadvertently put them in the program files folderthere when i transferred from the old PC,
Thank you very much for your help.
