Snapping chords to beats, not noted tones
Let's say I have one 4/4 bar with a dotted half note followed by a quarter note. I want two chords here: one on the first beat, the second on the third beat. But there is no tone there, the end of the dotted half note is there.
How do I do this?

However, I run into these problems:
* I don't see that cmd/ctrl-number has any effect.
* Space bar doesn't move chords, it starts playback. I'm on a mac MuseScore 3.6.2.
* The closest I got was by adding a voice, enter rests, enter the chord. Because the new voice is 1, I can't delete the rests. In turned I solved this by flipping voices 1 and 2 (Tools->Voices). It works, but I don't know if it's good in the long run.
Any comments on how to do this in the best way?

Yes the keyboard shortcuts in chord edit mode are rather powerful and allow you to go anywhere fairly quickly. Do not hesitate to use : and ; as well, not CTRL+number only.
To be clear: the Ctrl/Cmd+number shortcuts sare needed only to get to fractions of beats. To simply put a note on beat three, space or semicolon are all you need. Again, do it while in chord symbol edit mode. Semicolon is in some ways better than space for this purpose because it doesn't get slowed down by the presents of lots of eighth notes or whatever - it always moves to the next beat, whereas space moves to the next note or beat. But if it's literally every two beats you want the chord symbols, then Ctrl+6 is nice.
