Repeated crashes when using Remove Selected Range command
I'm trying to remove a section of this file using the command Remove Selected Range. The program crashes every time I select measures that have content after the selection. If I delete the content first, the program will remove the blank measures. I need to re-structure the piece (which is much larger than the segment included in the upload), and to do that I need this command to work.
I have tried the above procedure with other project files and found the same thing. I can remove a blank measure if all of the measures after the selection are also blank. If the selected measure (s) are not blank; or if any of the subsequent measures have content, the program crashes.
This is new behavior that began during yesterdays work session.

Do you have the timeline open? if so, does it still crash when close the timeline?
If it's not the timeline, I can't reproduce the crash
See #326444: Remove selected range (Ctrl+Del) causes crash (segmentation fault) in MS 3.6.2 and #317511: Crash on Undo after adding measures with timeline open, fixed in the 3.x nighly builds

yes, I did have timeline open. I will try when I get back to my workstation.
I can't reproduce. Same MuseScore version, same windows version. No crashes, no matter whether selections have content or not or whether there is following content or not. It also makes no difference if I use Tools>Remove selected range or CTRL+Delete.
Have you tried reverting to factory settings (from the Help menu)?
[Edit] I CAN reproduce with the timeline open.
