MuseScore Jazz Text in System/Rehearsal marking/notations
In version 3.6.2, unlike a previous version I have, I have found that I can't use "Musescore Jazz Text" for system text/rehearsal markings and notations as a default in Style. The overall style of the sheet is in "Musescore Jazz Text", such as the key signature, tempo and title but that is all.
I have to edit every element to change it to "Musescore Jazz Text".
Thanks
Sue

This is certainly possible and even the default with the Jazz templates. The font name is "MuseJazz Text" though, not "Musescore Jazz Text".

Hello JoJo,
thank you for your reply.
I currently have MuseJazz selected Musical symbols font and MuseJazz Text selected for Musical text font.
Thanks
Sue

That's still not the text style for reherarsal marks (or other texts styles)

Hi Jojo,
Yep, I found the all the text settings for each component under "style" and fixed it.
My much older version of Musescore didn't have these little subheading under "style"
Many thanks
Sue

MuseScore 3 had them in that place ever since, MuseScore 2 had them under Style > Text styles

Yes, there have always been individual style settings for each type of text - no version of MsueScore has ever had a single setting for all text. Mostly because, that wouldn't make sense to literally use the same style for all text - different text types need different sizes, different alignments, different offsets, etc. But someday, we do hope to implement a way to at least set the "font face" for all text at once.
Maybe in the past you were creating your score from the Jazz templates? Those still exist, and those still automatically set all your text to MuseJazz by default. As mentioned, though, it was never possible to change all text in an existing score at once, short of loading a "style file" (which also continues to work as always).

Hi Marc,
Thanks for your reply.
I think you are correct. I was using a Jazz template in the past. That would explain my issues...LOL.
Many thanks
