A long note broken into several notes connected by a line
For example, if it is Moonlight Sonata 1st Movement, Measure 6. There is a note that is 3 beat long, as seen on MuseScore website for the ClassicMan and OpenScore version (screenshot 1 and 2).
However, when I download it as a MIDI file, and open it in the MuseScore app, it is broken down into several notes connected by a line. I think that means "play it as one long note", so technically, it is correct, but it is just pretty confusing: screenshot 3. Especially, if I use a custom plugin to add the 1, 2, 3 as Do, Rei, Mi for it: screenshot 4.
Is it possible to let MuseScore display it the same as on the MuseScore website? Otherwise it seems I have to use manual editing to fix it myself.

Don't download the MIDI file but the MuseScore file

It in fact works! Gratias ago plurimum.
Say, if it is my own playing so I have a MIDI file, or I only could find a MIDI on the Internet for a particular song, can MuseScore opens it so that it looks like screenshot 1 and 2 automatically?

Probably not, no.
MIDI simply doesn't contain a lot of notational information, so a lot of guessing is involved when importing one and turning it into some form of notation.
