Transposing an Entire Part
Hey everybody, I am arranging a score for my friends and accidentally wrote an entire part in tenor sax instead of alto sax. Does anybody know how to transcribe an entire part while leaving the entire piece's key intact? Thanks!

Assuming the notes are actually correct for tenor sax - so the playback sounds correct - then all you need to do is right-click the staff, Staff Properties, Change Instrument, and select alto sax. It will automatically transpose the music as needed, as well as change the playback sound.
If you actually entered the notes wrong - you entered them transposed for alto sax even though the staff itself was set to tenor sax - you'll have to correct the transposition manually. That won't be difficult either; you'd use Notes / Transpose. But in order to give more precise step-by-step instructions, we'd need you to attach your score so we can better understand.

How do I select the staff? Thanks, Richard

It is certainly possible to select a staff, but Marc is not proposing to do that in the above description. He says you should "right-click" the staff. Are you wondering how to right-click a staff?

Right-click is usually Ctrl+click on a single-button mouse, or two-finger tap on a touchpad.
Meanwhile, though, in MuseScore 4, you don't need this at all (although that still works also) - you can replace instruments from the Instruments panel in the left sidebar.
