Bug in page setting dialogue

MS 4.0.0.223472200, Apple MacBook Air, OS Ventura 13.0.1

Procedure:
- take a score
- click format > page settings
- type 2 into the "first page number" field.
- Click ok

Result: the first page is still page 1, not page 2 as expected. This feature worked well (with the exact same procedure) in MS1, MS2 and MS3. It ought to b e fixed.

This feature appears to be little used or somebody would already have reported it. But to me it is really useful.

I am trying to read up on those two things but I am confused:

This forum is for "support and bug reports". That's why I put this here.
What is the purpose of either Github or issue tracker and how are they different? Specifically my bug is in the officially released Musescore 4.0. I see the issue tracker contains mostly issues with development versions of MS4.

I have tried to understand what to do in issue tracker, but it exceeds my capabilities. Can somebody help? E.g. how do I search to avoid duplicating an already existing entry? How do I know somebody at least read the thing?
