Missing bars (or bar numbers)
Does anyone have an explanation for the missing bars 34-37? I've unhid all the instrument parts, and it still skips those 4 measures.
I've also deleted and added measures, to see if the bar numbers change, and it's still as if there's an empty system.

Perhaps the bars are empty. You seem to have "hide empty bars within system" enabled and so if all the bars in the system are empty they are also hidden. If that is the problem then when you turn turn off that option in Format>Style>Score you should reveal your missing bars.

There's no "hide empty bars within system", just "hide empty staves within system" and that would leave at least one staff visible, as fat as I can tell

Good point! Score definitely needed.
