Musescore 4 Portable?
Is there, or will there be, a portable version of MuseScore 4? I can only use the portable version because I do not have administrator privileges on my computer, so if someone could point me in the right direction (or simply tell me it's not going to happen), I would much appreciate it.

There sure isn't yet. Not sure whether there will be, but is so, probably only a 64-bit version
You could, in the meantime, use a nightly build: https://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/musescore-nightlies/windows/4x/nightly/MuseS… is built from the same sources as the 4.0 release

Thanks, I was able to install this successfully. Would you, by any chance, know a way to install MuseHub in this way (I want the new SoundFont), or where I could find it on GitHub?

Muse Hub is a closed source application by Muse Group and as such not available from GitHub.
They don't have portable versions available afaik (because it mostly is a background service anyway).

Ok. Would there be another way to obtain the MuseSound soundfonts in another way?

No

1) Are the new sounds a soundfont that could be copied into the relevant directory or it is a different kind of architecture?
2) Is it open source or just freeware?

I'm also dependent on the portable version. And not only me. My pupils have to install the portable version as well. Is it worth reporting problems with the 3.6 portable, or is all development now focused on version 4?

It was announced over a year ago that 3.6.2 will be the last 3.x version. No development effort has been spent on it for over a year already.
A test version could be found here: https://portableapps.com/node/67638
Feedback is very welcome.

Could you provide one for 4.0.1 too?
I've asked the in-house team to do this in the futur, see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/15876

Ah, I see. Thanks for that anyway
