I have installed MuseScore 4.0.1 and every time I try to start the program it just displays the splash screen and then shuts down. I am not sure what is wrong. MuseScore 3.6.2 works fine. My technical specs for my computer is: iMac retina 4k 21.5inch 2019 running Windows 10 via bootcamp. I have 64 gigs of ram. I have also installed MuseScore 4.0.1 in the macOS side and it runs just fine. I am not sure why it doesn't load in Windows 10 via Bootcamp. I have attached a short video showing the splash screen and then nothing. I am not sure how to get a report that might be helpful. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Brian

I am not sure what your comment means except changing my entries from "Frequency Many to Once" and "Workaround No to Yes". I chose "many" for the frequency because it happens every time I try to start the program and are you telling me there is a workaround, if so what is it or where can I find (read) it?
Frequency is how many people report it
The workaround is I have also installed MuseScore 4.0.1 in the macOS side and it runs just fine

Are you serious? So the solution is to buy Mac and forget about PC and WIN10/11? Because I have the exact problem. I searched for older version installer on my drive and reinstalled version 3. Works OK. At least I have working program. But I'm saying it again. It's not a solution nor workaround.
It sure is the workaround for the OP (with an iMac retina 4k 21. 5ince 2019 running Windows 10 via bootcamp), you apparently have a different issue

Yes I agree completely with you. Just because I have it installed on the MAC side of the computer does not help the fact it didn't load on the windows side. Yes in a loose sense of the definition I can use it as long as I use it in the MAC side. However, with that said I was reading other posts where people were also having issues getting MuseScore4 to load on Windows 10. They suggested adjusting the audio settings of the computer. I tried this and it worked. MuseScore4 will now load under Windows 10, on my iMac, but the sound is crackly and pops. It is not clear, like MuseScore3. This doesn't make much sense to me either as MuseScore3 works perfect and MuseScore4 has glitches, but at least it does load now. Yes I can always shut down my Windows computer and reboot into MAC OS, just to run MuseScore4, but I should not have to, just makes it a hassle. I just want to say even with this glitch I still think this program is amazing and I applaud all those who work on it.
So adjusting the audio settings fixed the crashes
And closes this issue (or is another workaround)
Then so and issues are reported elsewhere

"Get rid of your Windows PC and buy a MAC"!!!!!!! Do forgive me, but your "sledgehammer to crack a nut" suggestion is similar to saying "because your local petrol station has closed down, sell your recently-purchased car and buy an electric one at twice the price so you can charge it at home".
Ensure you do not have the 4.1 update AND the previous 4.0 version both installed. Delete the older version and start the programme from the Start Menu to open up MuseSore from the Muse Hub.
