using Greek lyrics imported in midi files
Dear all,
I am using musescore 3.6.2. Could you please tell me how to import a midi file that contains Greek characters in the lyrics?
These characters are not properly displayed, MS 4.1.1. does not solve the problem (I even do not see the midi import panel anymore in 4.1.1)
Many thanks, Eric

The MIDI import panel has not yet been restored to MS4.
But MS4 has no trouble in displaying lyrics in Greek - see attached fragment of a file which I transribed from manuscript.
I managed to find an online version of the classical Greek. But I had to copy-and-paste the Greek text syllable by syllable, because of hyphenation problems. You might use that as a slow solution, or perhaps see whether MS4 allows you to copy a longer text (with spaces and hyphens where necessary) from your clipboard direct into your score.

I think that the honest answer is: do not use MIDI as an import method. MusicXML is a much better format, because it preserves musical notation including lyrics. MIDI really only understands sounds and their pitch and duration!

Dear Daniel, thanks a lot! The (old) Greek text looks good. However, it will cost a lot of time, I suppose. My problem is that I have already the midi files into which the lyrics is already incorporated, but I do not get it properly displayed in MS

Why not attach a sample MIDI file with lyrics right here in this thread? Someone may have a better solution.
