how to move intsrument names
so basically i have 2 parts for a certain instrument and I am trying to just have the name of the instrument be in between of the 2 staffs but i cant quite figure out how to move it
if you look in the image i am just trying to figure out how to move the name to be in between the 2 staffs

Better (in 4.x) to make one instrument then go to the Instruments tab and click on Add stave. The name remains centred even if you alter the spacing.

That's a very good solution if you only need a single instrument name halfway between two instrument staves.
But using the Enter key when setting up the Long Instrument Name of the upper stave can still be useful for this situation:

However I agree that entering notes and dynamics will unbalance the spacing, so this solution is rather fragile!
