Legato?
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to compose a song right now which requires the piano to play softly, but the musescore piano recording by default seems to be too "choppy" for what I'm trying to do. I wanted to smoothen out the playing and make each note not necessarily softer, but more like hit smoother. I found that the articulation I was looking for was a legato (I might be wrong as I am a novice), but have had difficulty implementing it within my score. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Legato (or tenuto) is the correct term, or perhaps a slur. In MuseScore, you can find articulations in the Palettes on the left side of the workspace. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/articulations-and-ornaments. See here for slurs: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/slurs/ You may also want to use pedal markings if you want the sound to be sustained and smoother: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lines.
