How could i copy only one voice?

Let's say I have a staff with three voices in it. Is there a way in MuseScore to extract, that is, to highlight and copy only one particular voice from a staff?

Use the selection filter and uncheck those you won't copy.
Don't forget to activate all voices again ...

... and there is 'Explode' to separate voices into the next staves.

For me this doesn't work.

I create notes in Voice 1. Move back to the beginning and add notes to Voice 2. Highlight the entire section and right-click on a note in Voice 2. From the context menu, click Select / More.... On the Select notes dialog, I check Same voice, In selection, and Replace selection. This highlights the notes in the Voice that I right-clicked on. Press Ctrl+C to copy. Move the cursor to another measure and press Ctrl+V to paste.

... and nothing.

Where's the "selection filter"? And how do I "uncheck those you won't copy"? And what do you mean by "activate all voices again"?

... and yes, I know how to use Explode. I'm asking about the other possibility you described.

Edit: I'm using MuS 4.2.1.

There are two types of selection. One is called "Range Selection", I can't think of the other term at the moment.
If you use "Select -> More...", it is this second type. You can also see that only the note heads are selected.
With the "Range Selection" there is a blue frame around the notes. This is the only way to copy and paste notes.
Unfortunately, I don't know the exact reasons for this behavior.

The other term is "list selection". It allows non-adjacent items to be selected. It doesn't work with copy paste because pasting a a series of non-adjacent items elsewhere makes little sense in the general case. Or rather, there are several different outcomes that might make sense in different contexts. No-one has yet come up with a proposal for which contexts should or could be supported.

Very counter-intuitive! At least in this case!

With the Select / More, I have selected a "Range", a "Range" of "Note"s (not "Notehead"s). Articulations are applied to "Note"s not to "Notehead"s. But when I select a "List" this way, I can apply articulations to "Note"s.

I think I get it though: Select / More selects a "List". Period, end of statement. The Select Filter selects a "Range". Period, end of statement. Just, in this instance, it's extremely counter-intuitive. *shrug*

Glad to know it; I've struggled with that more than once.

Right! But you pointed out that the "List" is selecting only "Notehead"s. (Even though the "More" dialog specifies that it is selecting "Note"s.) It does not make sense to apply an articulation to a "Notehead".

I understand it now. Just that it seems counter-intuitive, even anti-intuitive (if that's a word :-) to me.
