Horizontal offset of beams
Hi. I want to move the note circled to the right to avoid overlap of its sharp with the left hand (piano). I can move the notehead and stem in Inspector - horizontal offset - but I can't get the beam to extend to meet it, and I've pushed every button I can find... Help please!

Use offset for the entire chord, not for all its elements individually

Ok, thanks. So how do I separate the notes here?

Select the note you want to move, then in inspector change the offset for the chord. Stem, beams or flags, accidental would follow automagically, as would other notes in that chord, if any. See also https://musescore.org/en/handbook/inspector-and-object-properties#chord

@edmund... regarding Jojo's reply.
The term chord (Inspector lingo) can include a single note (musician lingo).
The term note (Inspector lingo) generally means notehead (musician lingo).
The distinction relates to MuseScore's internal coding terminology.
