In 1.3, the shortcut was "Z".

same in 2.0. Or Shift+F9->Symbols. Or F2
The "Z" shortcut was broken for a few weeks, I think including the Beta 2, but it's working in currently nightly builds. But indeed, the other ways of videwing the Master Palette work. F2 is specificallt for text symbols, BTW - it works only when editing text. Otherwise it has a very different effect...
