Line distance does not work properly or pitched staves.

From the Japanese forum

This score is showing the notes in the wrong spot.

Line Distance problem.png

The user increased the line distance to 1.48sp (I didn't ask why 1.48). The lines moved, but the notes did not. The expected result is that the notes move according to the line distance. This does happen if a Tablature staff is selected. You will need to try it yourself.

Create a tablature
Enter some notes on it.
Right click and open the staff properties
increase the Line Distance to 2.0sp for example (or decrease to 1.0sp)
Results are as expected: The fingerings stay in proper relationship to lines.

I'm not aware of this being reported as a bug. I don't see how this can be by design, especially with one staff being affected by the change and the other one not being affected.

How do you change space? I'm familiar with changing the scaling in Layout->Page Settings... but this changes everything, not just the staff and notes.

Why would anyone think it is a good idea to change the spacing on the staff but not have the notes remain on the staff? Especially when on a tablature staff the fingerings DO remain on the staff.

The ability to change line distance is intended for experimental notations, not for the purpose of simply making music bigger. To make music bigger, you should either use Layout / Page Settings / Staff space (changes size of all staves and everything else) or Staff Properties / Scale (changes current staff only). Unless you are experimenting with inventing your own notation system, you should leave "Line distance" alone.
