Problems creating parts
I am having a problem with the separate parts for a score. When I create the parts, for example 3 parts, and when I go to look at the created parts, I am getting one or two of them displaying a score instead of the individual part. Out of 3 attempts, the first gave me parts 2 & 3 as a score, the second part 3 was a score, and the third, number 1 was the score. What I would expect is the score (consisting of 3 staves) which I am working on and when I creates the parts, I get 3 parts, one each of each staff.

How many instruments are you using?

In the current version of MuseScore, it is not possible to split a single staff (that contains two or more voices) into separate parts
Can you attach the score you are having problems with?

This happens when I set the parts. They should be parts not a sscore with 3 staff.

Why then dod you select all 3 instruments for the 3rd part? Anyway, here's the 'fixed' score
When you press the New All button, stop checking instruments on the right hand side. New All means you want MuseScore to create a part for each instrument. Notice that the name of the last instrument is the only one checked by default on the right and there is a list of all of the instruments on the left. If you were to click each instrument it's name would be checked on the right.

I think I get it, maybe when I tick the boxes on the right it then gives a score instead of a part.
I thinl this is a bit clunky, we just want to get the parts.

It' not clunky at all in my opinion. To get all of the instruments their own parts, click File->Parts then New All and OK. You have parts in 3 clicks. What would be clunky would be if you needed to click New All then go back and check each instrument after you told MuseScore your wanted parts for all instruments.
If you click New rather than New All, you get a generic "Part" as the part name. You can change "Part" to any name you like and check all of the instruments you want included in the part. This is particularly useful for Percussion 1, Percussion 2 that has multiple instruments for a single percussionist.
