Automatically space systems on a page
In my piano piece, MuseScore placed six systems (= six grand staffs) on a certain page. I decided to move the last system to the next page, leaving a large amount of white space at the bottom. I know I can add a spacer below each staff, but it seems like there should be a way to tell MuseScore to vertically justify the staves rather than doing it manually. (The document-wide settings for staff spacing usually work well, so I don't want to change them.) Is this possible either in 2.3 or 3.0? I searched the handbook for staff settings etc. but didn't find this.

With piano music it's easy. Increase the Max System distance in the Styles page in both 2.x and 3.x. The system distance is the distance for each new line of music no matter if there is one instrument like a flute or piano (with 2 staves) or 70 instruments in a Wagner Opera.

Thank you (and to others who replied) -- got it! I have played with the minimum system and staff distances several times but never quite got the significance of the maximum distance.
The relevant handbook page:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/layout-and-formatting#style-page
also shows an explanatory picture.
Regards.

One problem with the picture is that it doesn't explain that on a single instrument score, every staff is a system according to MuseScore.

Indeed, you already stated: The system distance is the distance for each new line of music no matter if there is one instrument like a flute or piano...
The handbook picture shows additional parameters (for the OP's future reference).
Also, the handbook info. is found under Formatting -> Layout and Formatting -> Page, rather than OP's "staff settings".
