Editing score tempo without adding tempo marking
How can I set the score's basic tempo without adding a tempo mark? I missed the opportunity to do it when creating the score, and I have not been able to find the place to change it. The handbook shows how to edit everything done at the time of creating the score EXCEPT the tempo.

You can't set the tempo without a tempo marking

Thanks. Well, there is a default tempo that is set on the "wizard" page when you create a new score, and if no explicit tempo markings are added in the score, it plays at that tempo. That is the tempo I want to change. I know I can add an explicit marking, but I'd prefer to have a default of my own choosing. Another solution would be to create a new blank score, this time remembering to enter the default tempo, and to copy and paste the notes I've already entered into the new score. But that's a 'workaround' and not so elegant.

The default is 120 BPM

I you go back to the new score wizard and change from the default tempo, the tempo text will be entered on the score. If you want to change the tempo but don't want it to print, select it and press V. If you don't want to see it, use the view menu and uncheck Show invisible. There is no other workaround.

OK, I verified what you are saying. I can live with that, given the program's excellent capabilities. I had just installed 3.0 and find it magically easier to use than 2.x. Thanks for the help.
