writing arrangements of and performing other peoples music
Hi, is it legal to compose your own arrangement of someone else's copyrighted music and share as a public score on Musescore 3?
would I need to add the copyright holder's name and/or ask permission?
Also, is it legal to perform someone else's score/arrangement in a public place?
Thanks.

Thank you I will have a look.
You need the copyright owners permission to publish or perform in public.
MuseScore.com has aggreements in place with several publishers and may turn down scores for others
Still performing in public is not covered by that
