Musescore 3 startup error: "ClipFX.dll is missing from your computer"
After installing MuseScore 3 and choosing to launch the program, an error popped up saying "The program can't open because ClipFX.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
First I tried restarting the program, then the computer. Still got the error, and one other I can't remember. Then uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Still getting the above error.
What's weird is although it takes some time, the program does start. I tried googling ClipFX.dll and found nothing but a page saying it's part of ProTools, which doesn't make any sense since MuseScore wouldn't require a part of ProTools to work. Used the search boxes on this site, too, and found nothing about this.
I haven't tested writing and saving a score yet, but any idea what's going on and how to fix this?

ClipFX.dll is not part of nor used by MuseScore.
A quick Google search brought up https://fxexe.com/what-is-clipfx.dll, which indeed indictates that this belongs to Avid Pro Tools. I don't see any relation to MuseScore. It is not on my computer and not reported as missing.

I used to have Pro Tools installed, so if that page is accurate, maybe it used to be there somewhere...but it doesn't explain why MuseScore or Windows is looking for it when I start MuseScore. So far haven't gotten the other pop-up error again, just this one.

Perhaps Pro Tools installs a special audio driver/device which uses that dll.
MuseScore does poll your audio interfaces, so perhaps it still finds the one that was once installed by Pro Tools but not (fully) uninstalled?
