How to apply a broken chord symbol
When I want to apply a broken chord symbol to a chord I click on Master Palette, then I click on Arpeggios & Glissandos, this brings up the symbols. Then I click on the wiggly line with the up arrow and hold down the button on my mouse and move the symbol over to the chord on my music sheet, then I release the button on my mouse, but the symbol does not stay. How can I make it stay?! Thanks for any help.

Chord symbols are plain text, no glyphs from the palettes in them
switch to the advanced workspace by clicking the word Basic under the palette, you can then use the broken chord symbol that works properly.

What is a "broken chord symbol" then?

A broken chord is another name for an arpeggio. It sounds like the OP wants the arpeggio symbol with an arrow on it.

Ah, thanks! And I though of something like Cmaj7/G (chord symbol, fraction→broken)
Also try...
Instead of drag/drop, select a note and then double click on the icon in the palette.
