Horizontal Line Placement
I'm working on guitar music, and often need horizontal lines placed above the stave, relating to fingering. Having inserted a line above the required notes, I then need to tweak it's position. This is fine, until I create the pdf: the pdf comes correctly, but the lines in the original musescore file frequently become corrupted. This holds true for both Musescore 2 and Musescore 3.1. I have tried different methods for moving the lines: dragging, using arrows, or using inspector - all with the same result.
In the example, you will see a line between two '4's, correctly placed in the pdf, but moved up (out of place) in the musescore file.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

You could use a "Note-achored line"
I believe what you are seeing is the result of #290040: Min distance setting not saved for text lines.. It is not related to PDF export specifically; the issue is just that the information that allows lines to be moved onto the staff without disabling autoplace doesn't get saved. Workaround for now is to disable autoplace for those lines (press "=" or use Inspector).

or hold alt while dragging the line to disable autoplace.
