Note-breaking problem, again (3.3RC)
OS: macOS 10.15, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.3.0.23833, revision: d3bff12
I'm not making this up, nor is it "random variation in note intensity". In m 7 the red G# in the soprano gets played as two quarter notes, with a very distinct, deep, unmistakable break between them. The Soprano and Alto are soloed; if the alto is silenced, it doesn't fail. I deleted the note and re-created it. No improvement.
The score was first created in MS2.

I've listened with normal Aah-patches because the expressive-patches never play (not sounding) on my system.
I think there is nothing wrong, everything is as it should be.
I exported it as mp3 format (3 measures: 6-8).

OK, thanks, this helps; I wonder why I suffer it..... Anybody else want to waste 5 minutes for me?
Sounds perfectly normal to me using the default soundfont.

Do you still hear it in an MP3 if you export? If not, can you record an MP3 just capturing the computer audio, or even using the mic to record the speakers? Then post the M

I will try MP3. I don't think there's a way to record while it's playing (or you could steal copyrighted content!).

While we're here, why were my solo selections of the soprano and alto ignored by the MP3 writer? Are all solos and mutes ignored? This could be a very large problem for making sectional audios ....

Not sure, I've never tried exporting solo settings, but could easily believe it's a deliberate feature that solo is not honored for export but mute is. In any case, that does seem to be what is happening.

OK, Mute is. that's consistent with my experience. Let metry that ...

Sorry, your MP3 sounds fine to me. I hear the other voices drop out, but the soprano never wavers. Verified this with Audacity too.
BTW, Apple may or may not provide a built in way to record the computer audio, but Audacity or any other audio program surely can.

Yes, 42 seconds in.

I made a properly-muted MP3, and listened to both very carefully, and now I'm not sure any more; I trust you both and Audacity, and thanks again for spending the time. It must be an auditory illusion, a "Yanny vs. Laurel" unique to my aging ears .... thanks both again, anyway.

Audacity can't do that on the Mac -- you need special 3rd party loop-back programs to make it possible.

Maybe not recording the audio directly, but surely the microphone wasn't hacked to not pick up the speakers?
EDIT: and I will stop calling you "surely"
