Fretboard Diagrams in horizontal positon
It would be nice if I can place fretboard diagrams horizontally as well for the next version!

Is this something that is actually found in published music? Can you show examples? If not - if this is for your own experimental notation only - then I would say it would be better to create diagrams in MuseScore, use the image capture tool to create a graphic from it, then rotate the graphic in an image editor and import the result back into MuseScore.

Perhaps its only in Japan?? But its quite common that fretboard diagrams place horizontally.
Some Japanese people prefer to see it in this way.

Hmmm... I suppose for beginners, it mimics more the perspective when actually holding/playing the guitar - and glancing at the fretboard.
This, of course, favors a *right-handed* guitar(ist).

If a sideways feature would be implemented, there's no reason to not have it both ways, so would serve left hand players too?

THANKS! it would be wonderful if there will be "side ways" diagrams option.
Left handed players also use sideway diagrams,
They turn it around in head. (I think)
even though Time passed by, I'm still wishing if this feature will be added.
I used to be a Sibelius user, and it has this "Chord Diagram Vertical/Horizontal Positions" option.
I attached the screen shot. (Sibelius 7)

Yes, please. Fretboard diagram issues are currently beiong dicussed in the developers' chat, having entried for them in the tracker would help to ... track ;-) them
