Fermata looks squeezed
The fermata symbol shown in the articulation palette looks like a fermata is supposed to look, but the fermata in my scores look like the head of a cartoon alien, or perhaps like the fermata spent time in a bench vise. Help!

My guess is you are using the "MuseJazz" font, which is designed to look like classic handwritten jazz charts, that do indeed often use that look. I'm not personally crazy about that either, but anyhow, that's what the designer of this font thought was appropriate.

Bingo! Changing the font to anything other than MuseJazz gives a normal fermata. Thank you!
