Crash on Create New Score

Windows 7 SP1
MuseScore 1.0 & Nightly Build r4111

Every time I click "New," MuseScore crashes. Simple as that. Mysteriously, on my 3rd try installing (1.0) I was able to create a score, which I can now edit in the program, but once again I cannot create new scores as before. Any ideas?
