Muted "x" chords in ab TAB not shown as "x" in shlash rythm notation?
Hello,
I'm trying to create a guitar lead sheet for "Let's Dance (David Bowie)". I want to have the rhythm in slash notation and the chords as fretboard diagrams. Everything successful so far, except:
One chord per measure is muted (all fretted notes muted in the TAB "x" with Shift-"X"). It shows correctely in the TAB, but is shown as a regular 16th in rhythm slash notation.
Am I missing something, or is this a bug or a missing feature?
Thank you very much.
Regrads,
Michael

A missing feature, I'd say
I don't totally understand what you are saying. Are you saying you enter the notes on tab, then mark one with an "x", then copy and paste this to a standard staff, which you then convert to rhythmic slash notation? If so, then indeed it would default to a regular slash head, but you can simply change it to the x if you like.
If that isn't what you mean, then please post the score you are having trouble with and give precise steps to reproduce the problem.

Hi,
I want the second count ("x") of the TAB:
to show as a "x" in rythm slash notation:
Thanks,
Michael

Oh, I see, you are putting the slash notation on a second tab staff? That's kind of unusual - more normally you'd have a tab staff and a standard staff.
Feel free to file a formal feature request for this using the "Issue tracker" link in the menu at right. Meanwhile, the way yo get this would be to turn that back into a regular (non-slash) note with a cross head, and use the Inspector to adjust the position to be inline with the others. Or just use a standard staff rather than a tab staff for your slash notation.

Sorry,
maybe I didn't explain clear enough.
It's only one TAB staff. I entered all fretted notes in the TAB and then marked all measures in that staff and did "Edit" => "Tools" => "Toggle Rhythmic Slash Notation". See mscz file attached.
Thanks,
Michael

Understood. Well, the same comment applies as to the workaround, and the idea that you should consider filing an official feature request to allow this.

Hi Friend ,
I don't know if you're still wondering how to deal with this issue, but I figured that some people might want to know.
As you entered a note that is on any string, you can use ( shift+x ) to mark it as muted on the tablature and then you can select the note and from the inspector side you can make this certain note on the staff Invisible. So when you export the final version the string will appear on the tablature as x and no related notes will appear on the staff.
Hope I delivered the Idea clearly.
Good luck 🤍,
Musti.
