Frame Text not following configured style
Just run into this whilst preparing for my next Tutorial Video
In the Edit Style dialogue Frame text is defined as New Times Roman Bold 11
However on entering Frame text it is defaulting to MS Shell Dlg 2 8.25!
(composite pic so it will fit) :)

Text styles are more or less broken in MuseScore 1.1 and that will not be fixed in 1.2.
MuseScore 2.0 will fixed it nicely.

FWIW, it will be slighly better in 1.2 for text frame. They will use the default style on creation. (r5195)
You know, I had seen references to adding text within a frame but never figured out how before. Your post at least gave me impetus to figure it out. For anyone curious, add a vertical frame, right click it, Add->Insert horizontal frame, right click that, Add Text->Frame Text. But of course, as you observe, the default font is not correctly.

Exactly how it is done will be revealed in my next tutorial video, along with other formatting tricks not immediately obvious from the handbook :)

I'm looking forward to this :-)

I usually 'miss-use' the Lyricist or Composer fillds of a vertical frame for this (for left- resp. right-aligned text). For them the configured default font seems to be correctly used

Doh! Another great "new" (to me) trick! When I've needed blocks of text, I've been creating a frame but then placing staff text and dragging into position.
