Measure-long rest

Hey, this is one thing that could change everything I do on MuseScore, so if this isn't possible, please add this in.

Long story short, I'm trying to make (on Voice 2) a measure-long rest for a piece on 3/4 time. I attached an example on what would happen if I added a whole note rest onto the first measure; it shows a dotted half rest with a quarter rest on the next measure. This causes the first voice to have the end result I want: a whole rest in the middle of the bar. So how am I able to do that for the second voice?
