Extending a slur causes a crash

I'm working on a multi part score (directors score) and the top staff is for the Piccolo and I can add a slur and extend it with no problems either by dragging it off of the palette or by using the "S" key, I'm extending it using the shift+arrow.

When I go to the next staff down (Flute) and try the samething MS crashes. Again I've tried adding the slur from both the palette and the "S" key. If I just put the slur in and not try to extend I do not get the crash.

I'm using MuseScoreNightly-2012-10-29-792e398 on a Win7 64bit system.
