notes with different duration
Perhaps this question has been posted somewhere else before, but I've been searching for a way to write two or more notes with different durations with the same starting point. How can this be done?

Your question makes me think that you have not read the handbook. If you have not, I suggest that you do as it will provide basic understanding of many things and will say you a great deal of time.
