how to enter a tuple of 10 (10-let)
I cannot figure out which values to enter in to the tuple form to get what I want.
My score is in 3/4 time. The 3rd beat of the measure needs to be a 10-let. I.e., 10 notes totaling the value of 1 quarter note, one great.
When I try to enter this into the tuple form, I have to enter the: type relation in the form of N/M
I tried 10/1 thinking that it means 10 notes per 1 beat,
and I also tried 10 /4 thinking it maybe means 10 notes per quarter note.
Neither seems to work. I will continue trying different things, but perhaps this forum post can serve as help to the next person who tries to do this.
I'm using 2.x.

I guess you want 10 notes in the space of a quarter, and those notes should be 16th?
So select the quarter rest and create a tuplet of 10/4 (or 5/2), this will get 5 8thrests. Now enter your 10 16th

Great thanks for the answer, Jojo. But I still don't understand the concept. What are the significance of the 3 things? 10, 4, and select quarter rest?
In the mean time, i found one of the problems. The score I was transcribing from was wrong. It has this 10-uplet written with 3 ledger lines rather than 2, as if they were 32nd notes.

10 notes in the space that would normally needed by 4 notes in the space of a quarter note.
A quarter divided by 4 is 16th.
OK, now you want 32nd notes, so a quarter divided by 8 is 32, so you need a 10/8 tuplet.

FWIW, this is not a quirk of MuseScore: it's how the musical notation works. That is, "10:4" is a standard marking; it means "10 notes in the space normally taken by 4". Four sixteenths normally take one beat, so 10:4 allows ten sixteenths to take one beat.
Personally, I'd be more likely to have used thirty-second notes if I wanted ten notes in a single beat, so I think your source has it right. There are normally eight thirty-seconds in a beat, so I'd use 10:8. Seeing ten sixteenths in a single beat just looks wrong to me, even if the 10:4 notation would make it technically OK.
Have you watched my video tutorial on Entering Tuplets?
It attempts to explain how the ratios work.

Incidentally, there is no such thing yet as MuseScore 2.0, just the development builds which will become 2.0 when stable.
If you are using these development builds for serious work, then I strongly advise you to make frequent backups in MusicXML format, otherwise you could lose work if the file format changes.

That link fails on me, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJquDsYMUq0&feature=youtu.be works (https vs. http), this might be due to being behind a firewall in the coporate LAN here in the office at $DAYJOB though.

Thanks, the video is indeed helpful.

You're great video saved me when I came across a score with a tuplet greater than 9.
Comprehensive and easy to follow, thank you very much.
