Double Bass doubt
Hi, gang!!!
I wonder why MuseScore set the orchestral double bass lower limit to E1 by default.
There are plenty of 5 strings double bass all over the world, and they can reach C1 (even the fact that is not an often asked note).
It is... Just a curious.
Blessings & Greetings from Chile!!!

There has been discussion about whether to change the lower limit of the Double Bass to C1, but those who control the Instruments.xml have decided it is easy enough to change the bottom limit to C1 (or lower as seldom is needed) so the bottom limit is set to what every instrument can play. I've suggested to change the professional limit to C1 and keep the amateur limit at E1 to warn the uneducated that there may be an issue, but this has not happened either. I can live with having to change the lower limit when needed.

Mind to dig up and link to the discussions that lead to this?

Here are 2 examples I found. I don't recall if I suggested it other places or not.

I apologize. I didn't see the change made in version 2.2.1. I don't remember the change being mentioned and hadn't used the 2.2.1 Contrabass. So it is as I suggested. E1 for amateur and C1 for Pro starting in 2.2.
