Manual transcription does not sound right, how to fix this?

Measures 18-21 do not sound right to me. I either have too much of a delay between the chord and the octave figure and grace notes, or I have the last chord missing all together. I am transcribing The Nutcracker Suite for piano duet. I plan to duplicate measure 17 but 2 octaves below once I get this section to sound right. I want it to stay playable, so in other words, a maximum interval of a ninth in each staff between the lowest and highest notes(the limit is a 9th because that is my maximum reach on the piano in both hands). Measures 19-21 have the section which I am having trouble getting into the right place without getting rid of the last chord in measure 18. I was wondering, can you help me here?
