Turning off red warning note function?

How to turn off the red warning note function please? (The range is incorrect for my instrument anyway). I tried to change Edit > Preferences > Note input. However I don't have a 'Preferences' option under 'Edit'. Any suggestions please?

Pardon? You don't have Edit > Preferences > Note input?
What version of MuseScore are you using and on what operating system and in what language?
