DELETING MULTIPLE EXTRA MEASURES

Click an empty spot in the first measure, shift+click the last measure then either use the shortcut ctrl+delete or the menu Tools->Remove selected range.
In addition to mike320's comment, if the extra measures are at the end of the score, you can also go to Tools -> Remove Empty Trailing Measures.
