Downloading scores from the web

When I click download on my mac, it brings me to the familiar screen where it asks what type of download I would like. On all the scores I've tried, wether public domain or private, the screen simply turns white, and no notice or download starts. Any specific reason this is happening, and any advice on how to fix it?
