Is it possible to make the font of chord symbols larger?

Sure, select a chord symbol, increase its size in the Inspector (re-open it view the View menu if you previously closed it), then press the "Set as style" button ("S" icon) right next to the control. Similar process for making other style changes (eg, making rehearsal marks bold, or hairpins taller, etc).
