How to add a second note (e.g. half a note) beside another note (See screenshot)
Hi not sure what is called in music score writing and what is the technical term for what I need to do, but I have a situation that need to add a note like half a note beside the regular note in one of the lines (see attached example and highlighted notes in thirdline). It is not a grace note and that feature is not what I need (adding a grace note). Appreciate it if anyone can help and let me know how to do it.

Thank you for your prompt reply, so basically I added the second voice, but is there a way to move the second voice left and right of the first voice/note? right now depending on its line, the app autmatically assignes it to a position but for example I would like to move it from right to the left of the voice1, is it possible? (see attached screenshot)

If you want help, post the score (the .MSCZ file). When I look at a picture, sometimes I am sufficiently interested to enter all the notes into MuseScore to try to solve a problem, sometimes not.

I would say that for a player the exact location of that d is unimportant. It is easy to interpret and nobody will play it incorrectly if it is on the other side.
There is another problem with this score anyway: If the first d (the one you want to move) is a half note you can not play the 1/8 note d in the middle of the bar. Your half note is still ongoing; you can't play the eighth note unless you end the prior d. Ergo this prior d ought to be a dotted quarter.
