MIDI keyboard

"Muse Score in Minutes" advises the user to go to Settings in the playback toolbar and then ensure that "Enable Midi Input" is checked. I'm not seeing this option in the playback toolbar.
In the home screen I was able to go to "Edit" then "Preferences", and under "I/O" I added my controller (Impact LX 25+"). But it doesn't seem to be fully connected to MuseScore.
Any suggestions? Thanks
