Musescore won't open existing files

Hello,
I upgraded to Musescore 4.5, using Sequoia on a Mac.
Musescore will not open existing files.
I can temporarily fix it by clicking "Revert to factory settings" in the help menu.
After an hour or so, it breaks again.

I have re-downloaded and re-installed the application.

Any suggestions?
