Custom Template
MScore 2.0.2 Win 7
Apologies for the empty message, Clicked on the wrong button.
I have an oddity with custom templates.
I'm re-setting songs for male Voices , TTBB, and have set up a custom template that has the layout I want. This is attached as "MVP.mscz"
However, when I use it, it's not presented as it is saved.
I've just started another song and saved it before I start adding notes. This is attached as
"Come_to_the_Saviour_Now.mscz"
The differences are:
1. The Composer & Lyricist are placed at the default vertical offset of 0, whereas MVP shows them at -8sp where I want them.
2. The bar lines for the new song I'm starting, span both staves but MVP shows them just spanning 1 stave which is what I want.
So every time I start a new song, I have to correct the placing of the Composer & Lyricist and amend the span of the bar-lines. Easy I know but I'm just puzzled why it happens?
Have I done something wrong In saving a files as a template?
Comments welcome.

If this is for TTBB, why using Piano as the Instrument? That, by default, has those connecting barlines, and so have score created from it.
For Composer and Lyricist you'd Need to Change their style, not their individual Position in that template.
See attached

Or even easier, use a Frame bottom margin, see attached

TTBB stands for Tenor, Tenor, Baritone, Bass, right? If so this template might be more useful, it dies reflect Baritone/Tenor in part name, instrument name and range (the combined ranges, upper limit of Baritone, lower limit of Bass)

Brilliant, thanks Jojo.
I knew I'd done something wrong but not what.
Hadn't realised that my choice of instrument affected the style, though It's obvious when you think about it.
I'm learning more each day.
Thanks again.

What puzzles me was that the 8vb clef 'survived' as that too is not the default for piano
