Trill with sharp/flat symbol
There are many trill with sharp/flat symbol in some classical music scores, and I hope to add them to new functions.

That's trill, not vibrato, and it is already supported but I'm having a hard time figuring out why it doesn't always show. I can't get it to show for just a plain tr, but with a trill line I could, though it only appeared after changing style to "Baroque" strangely, and now I can't change it. Further the properties of the accidental don't seem to work at all (the "small" checkbox, and "bracket type") at the time of applying, but it does eventually seem to update the appearance after making other changes.

It’s my fault. I’m not a native English speaker. In my language, trill and vibrato have the same nouns.

I'm saying it can already do this:
Just that the # doesn't appear immediately for some reason.

Can be done by making the trill line 0 length too

How did you do it?
In reply to How did you do it? by Saturn Symphon…
Add a trill line, select the trill line, add an accidental to it with the palette. It won't appear immediately but it is there, and will appear when some other change is made to the note or trill line.

Really, what version? Can't get it to crash personally.

What are you trying to do? I added a flat to the D trill in the piano part in 439 and it doesn't crash for me.

Surely that was written before the proper support for it was added?

It sure was, but as far as I can tell MuseScore still hasn't proper support for this

For trills it seems OK (even if it's a bit strange you have to do it by creating a trill line with a 0-length line).
For mordents and other various ornaments I can't quite figure out how to do it, seems odd.

I have encountered the same problem when arranging a piece for concert band. Yes that is a way, but it only works when the trill doesn't start at the down beat of a measure. Is there a method to do it for a full measure or more of trills?
EDIT: I have seen a way by "hard-coding" in the trill using sixteenth notes and hiding some of them, but is there a "cleaner" way?

This is a very outdated thread.
There is a much cleaner way to add accidentals to ornaments in the latest version of Musescore. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/ornaments#accidental-properties
