Constant crashing and no sound from MuseScore

Hi

I've been using MuseScore for quite a long time, and recently it has become very unstable. It frequently crashes, and only rarely will a score play sound. Sound is no longer played when I am entering notes.

I've tried rebooting and resetting the synth module.

Does anyone have any suggestions, please?
