I couldn't diagnose the problem, and for me playback crashed at m.33.
But this is what I did:
a) in MS4, export the score as MusicXML (uncompressed)
b) in MS3, open the MusicXML file, try playback which plays OK from start to end
c) in MS3, save the file in MS3 format
d) in Ms4, open and save the MS3 .mscz file, try playback which plays OK from start to end
Do try the MS3 or MS4 versions attached.

Daniel, That's a good idea (I didn't think to try that). Thanks! I'll test this now

Daniel, It gets me a bit farther but If try to add anything to the converted (...trings - MS4.mscz) score, it crashes again. There is something in the score that MS4 is not able to handle.

Might have something to do with hairpins without dynamics at the end. Like violin one measures 30 through 35. I tried to select them and the score crashed. Same with the cello part measure 40 or so.

Changing the playback profile to use the MS Basic.....crash is gone (at least on my system). Before I changed the profile, it crashed even when selecting certain measures.
So looks like it is related to MuseSounds.

Just adding some more...it seems only changing the Violas to MS Basic is sufficient to prevent the crash.
Also, when changing the MS Basic back to the MuseSound Violas is then immediate crashing the score.

Agree. I hope the developers will be able to address this is a future release

Not so sure this is a developer problem. Where did you get this score?

Obviously I can't tell where the OP got the score from....but I do believe there is an issue in the program.
Attached the score I created from scratch, just entered the notes for the Viola part and it crashes for me at bar 36 when the MuseSound is set to Violas. Changing the sound to Viola (Solo) prevents the crash.

Yes, your v2 score crashes on my system also. But something is not right. If it were a problem with the program, then every score I have ever made would crash. Here is a score I made that is similar to yours except that I didn't add any hairpins without dynamics at the end. It does not crash on my system.

Agree, your score does not crash. Interesting to hear how MuseSounds can't keep up playing the notes/producing sound (at least on my system). Also, adding some dynamic and hairpin to your score does not crash the program.
However, when I remove the hairpins from the v2 score it still crashes for me (in order to be able to remove I change the sound to solo Viola...otherwise I can't select them all, it crashes when I select the hairpin in the last measure). Another interesting fact, move all notes up by an octave.....(keep all hairpins/dynamics in place), and that also resolves the crash.

NP. When I saw this page advertised as "Forums->Support and bug reports" I assumed it was the one-stop-shop for bug reports.
