Simple Capo Style
Is there any way to show only one chord symbol when using a capo? Showing both just gets confusing for my eyes on quicker pieces.

If you only want to show one chord, just enter the chord and disable the capo option. The only purpose of the capo option is to show both.

I get that, but I'm arranging music for our church band and would rather just input the chords as notated in the original key (E flat, for example, which is crazy difficult to play on guitar), then have MuseScore transpose them for me without having to enter the chords one by one, manually. Might be something for a designer to consider on the next update.

Your request is not clear (for me, at least, sorry). In MuseScore, the Capo feature (in Style/General/Chords symbols) is not the more common practice, as the guitarists immediately understand.
Could you attach your score and describe what you want to achieve?

I see. You could get this by using Notes/Transpose, then. Enter the chords first, then transpose, then enter the notes. Or if you've already entered the notes, you could transpose once to move both, then again to move just the notes back.

That didn't work for me. I had the same question- how to transpose the chord symbols without transposing the notes.

Did you enter the chords by pressing ctrl+k? If not, MuseScore doesn't know they're chords.

If that doesn't help, please attach your score and say precisely what you did, what you expected to see happen, and what happened instead. Then we can see where things went wrong
