My Score's repeats are a bit wonky
So, I uploaded a MusicMXL file from Flat.io to the Musescore software. When I went to listen to it, the repeats kept taking the song to random parts of it and then ended abruptly.
Can anyone help????
Thanks

The mxl seems to come from https://flat.io/score/5ab848a47a2d8a41621edd42-encounter
Directly after import in 2.2.1 most barlines are missing, only saving as mscz, close and reopen makes those show.
The play count of measure 4 is set to 1, so that's what the end repeat barline there does (no repeat), including skipping the next measure(s), as measure 5's open ended volta has a repeat list of 2.
Same issues for measure 19.
So I've added a volta 1 for measure 4 and set its play count to 2, same for measure 19, check the attached.
I suspect that flat.io's MusicXml export is to blame here, but would rather have out resident MusicXML guru, Leon Vinken, to take a look ;-)

So I did as you said and proceeded to save the score so the barlines would reappear onto my score. I did some basic editing so that it would look nice, but when I go to MuseScore to upload it, an error message still pops up telling me that the measures are missing barlines.
Thanks so much for your help!
This is the error message that popped up: ERR_NO_SPACE_JSONP
ERR_NO_SPACESEG
ERR_NO_SPACESEG_JSONP

Thanks for pointing out the thread, Shoichi. I looked through my score to make sure all values held true to 4/4. It looked right, there was an ending barline, and all noteheads seem intact. I went to attempt to upload it MuseScore again, but now it wont even let me upload the file to the site.
It says: This file could not be saved. An unknown error has occurred. File upload error. Could not move uploaded file.

It does look the same. They are both made from xml files.
In the current score, I opened the xml with 2.1 and saw the bar lines. I opened it with 2.2.1 and there were only bar lines on the first instrument.
In both versions there were a number of dynamic marks that claimed to be attached to a different spot in the score than they were displayed. For example the very first mf claims to be attached to Measure 2, beat 1, staff 2 but it is displayed under measure 1, beat 4.75, staff 2 with a -0.60 Vertical offset. The offset does not allow it to be attached where it reports. Pressing ctrl+r confirms this and the dynamic continues to report being attached at the wrong spot. It does not move under beat 1 of measure 2 as it should when you press ctrl+r. It seems it should actually be attached to measure 1, beat 1, staff 2.
Not knowing the origin of the xml files it seems there is an issue reading the xml files starting in at least in version 2.1. Staff 2 happens to be the only second staff on an instrument.
There are several differences between the two scores. In the previous score I could see all of the bar lines in 2.2.1, there were no obvious misplaced dynamics and there were no instruments with 2 staves.

So, would this new update be the cause for problems on XML files? Should I download an older version of MuseScore?

I haven't seen too many people have problems with xml files being imported before and now we have 2 in a matter of days. The biggest problem is that MuseScore.com will no longer allow them to be uploaded. It would be difficult to figure out if this problem existed before the update to MuseScore.com that happened just prior to the release of version 2.2.
My analysis of the score was more for someone looking into fixing the issue than for you to change versions of MuseScore. I suspect the same thing happened silently in previous versions.

Alright, thanks for the input! I'll wait and maybe see if MuseScore finally updates and fixes this problem. Maybe tomorrow i'll try to see if anything has changed. In the mean time, is there anyway I would be able to convert it to another file type, or will that just wreck all of the notations below the staves? I am trying to avoid having to recreate it by hand as much as possible.
You guys have been a big help!

I tried to recreate the score in version 2.2.1 using copy and paste. The issues with the dynamics seems to be fixed, but it won't upload. Now it says "Cannot upload: 4"
@Thomas added the error code as a trouble shooting item. Hopefully he will see this in the morning and be able to do something with it. BTW, here's the new score.

The score I created and posted now uploads since the server has been fixed. You will want to go through the score and ensure I did everything correct in my copy and paste. I suspect the dynamics on the second staff are almost all in the wrong spot.
